What is Pulse?
We understand that costs associated with best-in-class cybersecurity services often result in businesses selecting lower cost services that may not provide extensive coverage, resulting in businesses being exposed to unnecessary risks.
With Pulse, we are providing businesses with automated reporting that helps you to improve your security posture. Additionally, we have included Domain and IP monitoring to provide notifications when changes have been made that may negatively impact your business, or when risks have been identified in any public facing services.
We cover the costs, provision the backend services, provide you with detailed onboarding documentation, and then it’s up to you to implement recommendations and respond to alerts.

The service is aimed at providing budget constrained businesses with information that can help them improve their security posture, or as a complimentary service to your existing monitoring services. EvoSec validate sign up requests and will only reach out to provide you with the information that you require to get started with Pulse.

EvoSec include monitoring of external IP addresses and domains, helping you to keep track of risks associated with public facing services and changes which may have a negative impact on your security posture.

We provide you with automated reports that include detailed findings and recommendations. You can use this information to assist you in strengthening your security posture.

Is it really free?
Absolutely, we want to help local businesses to secure themselves and while we would of course recommend that businesses implement our Managed Security Services, we understand that the costs associated with our fully managed services may be too high for some businesses at certain points in their journey. We still want you to be secure and are doing what we can to help you.
Is this an alternative to paid compliance reports?
Not at all, this is a complimentary service that is aimed at providing some level of protection for businesses that simply cannot allocate funding to alternate paid solutions. It is not a replacement for similar services or solutions.
How can you offer this for free, does this not incur costs for EvoSec?
We have made a commitment to helping local businesses to improve their security posture, while the service is not free for EvoSec, we have chosen to cover these expenses to help our local businesses. This service will remain free to businesses, however, we may limit the number of registrations due to hosting limitations.
I really like the idea behind this, can I help?
Absolutely, please reach out if you would like to get involved in helping us deliver this service for local businesses. EvoSec hosts the infrastructure and develops the backend integrations/compliance checks, there of course a number of costs involved in doing so and we would love to see this expand in the future.
What support do you provide with the service?
Pulse is provided as self-service, while we manage the backend service and development, we do not offer any additional support for most businesses who use the Pulse service. We do provide some support to eligible non-profit organizations based on our discretion.
Do we require technical knowledge to benefit from this service?
Yes, the alerts and reports are highly technical and any included recommendations are not tailored to your business. It is important to note that the service reports should be reviewed by someone who is technical and has a full understanding of the technical aspects of your business. As with any compliance reports, you will likely have compliance checks which are expected to fail due to your unique implementation of the cloud service.
EvoSec can of course provide you with support via a Managed Security Service, or direct you to one of our partners to provide you with technical support services.
What guarantees do you provide with the service?
The service is not provided with any guarantees or customization to your specific requirements. We offer the service at no cost to you, and this means that it is provided as-is at this current time.
